First I would like to say that I have been meaning to post about my little Aiden’s 2nd birthday. Although I wanted so much to give him his own post, but realistically it is NOT going to happen- don’t judge. I am trying to catch up here...
Aiden’s actual birthday was as usual great! This year Omar was not able to join us during the day when the boys and I ventured to the zoo, but our awesome friends Michelle and Lucas did! We had a great time. Aiden loves the animals so long as they are at a safe distance. I thought he would love to ride on the camel... boy was I wrong. He was terrified. Clinged on to me for dear life poor thing. Once our ride was over Omi wanted to go once more time by himself, you know him being the big boy he is. Aiden was beyond concerned with his brother going on the camel alone. He kept screaming out "Omi!" and rambling his Aiden ramble with a very concerned look on his face. The funniest part about the whole ordeal? How he ran to Omi and hugged him the moment his camel adventure was done. I am pretty sure he advised him never to ride on the creature that he believed would surely bring him to his fate. My kids are little drastic.
After we fed the animals at the petting zoo. And it appeared Aiden was smitten with the goats. That wall kept them at a safe distance, so he felt out of harms way.
I am happy to report that they did not even make it out of the zoo awake!
For the evening we did our usual Chuck E Cheese’s birthday celebration. Aiden pretty much had a one track mind and that included cake. He is all about food, and butter cream frosting is one of his absolute favorites. I can’t blame him, I too am a huge fan.
His birthday party was so0o0o0 much fun! As always I had loads of fun making the center pieces. The boys had a hard time trying not to dismantle them before the party. In their defense they were replicas of Bikini Bottom houses so I get it. When Aiden got to the party he was so loving everything. He went from table to table looking at everything and laughing. Not to mention he loved the life size Sponge Bob in the arch. We hired Jimmy the coolest balloon guy ever for Aiden’s birthday again and as always he was a hit! Everyone had a great time and most importantly the boys enjoyed themselves. I feel although I did try to otherwise I managed to look tragic in every picture I took. But since it was not about me, I learned to deal with it.
My little man’s cake
The rice crispy treats were made very late the night before the party... they were suppose to look like Sponge Bob. However I feel like they looked more like the doodle Sponge Bob draws when he finds the pencil- Google it, you will crack up I promise!

Happier than a pig in mud with his Krabby Patty cupcake
My close friends are beginning to get suspicious of the balloon guy... he made me my own special balloon!
This year Omar asked me what I wanted for my birthday, my reply? A party! See, this year I turned the big 3-0. I began to plan a while back and decided on a theme months ago. Vintage carnival… but not too kiddish, so it got a little tricky. The trickiest part was juggling Christmas, New Years, My grandparents 80th birthday and Aiden's 2nd birthday party all within 2 months. It was crazy, but I managed to keep my cool and stay collect.
These were actually my favorite pieces from the whole party. I bought these at Target in the dollar spot and painted and dressed :)
I felt a lot prettier and less tragic

We did have a great time with wonderful friends and the best family who shared a fantastic night. I danced the night away and loved every moment! Thank you to all the came and shared with us- it meant a lot. Hope everyone had as good of a time as I did :)
