"Allow me to reintroduce myself"

Hi all!  I feel like I have really not had a moment to myself to sit and just ramble.  We just got back from East Cobb this past Thursday.  And on Sunday I had cookies and a cake to complete so you can only imagine the madness that has been my life. 

It has gone a little bit like this...Friday before Father’s day I had 3 cakes due.  That same Friday afternoon we left to the keys.  Drove back Sunday morning, so  that we could a) spend Father’s day with my dad be) pack and c) leave to East Cobb with the 14u team for a week.  I am STILL recovering.  Not to mention we are leaving for Orlando this upcoming Saturday for another week long tournament. 

the upcoming tournament is actually going to be more fun than our usual trips.  We are planning on taking the boys to the Magic Kingdom and a water park or two.  So they are definitely going to have a great time.  Plus since we are staying at one of the Disney resorts I plan on hanging with the boys pool side while Papa is "working".  Should make for some nice pictures and knowing my kids I am sure there will be a funny story or two to follow as well.

Poor Papa-

Today Omi said one of the funniest/ cutest things he has said in a while, which is tough to say since he says so many so often.  After the boys’ speech session I dropped Omar off at home since we both had errands to run.  The conversation I than had with Omi was as follows.

"Mama, Papa is not coming with us?"

"No papito.  Papa has to go to work."

"Oh...to pay bills?"

"Yes baby to pay bills"

"My bills?"

"Yes Omi"

"Your bills too Mama?"

"Yes baby mama’s bills too"

"And Aiden’s bills????"

"Yeeeeessss Omi"

"ohhhhh... Papa has a lot of bills"

Amazed at how little barely three year old Omi put all that together himself.  Put a lot into perspective about how truly awesome my husband is to me.  I know that sometimes I can take for granted that everyone has it as I do.  Obviously that is not the case.  With father’s day right around the corner I want to take a moment to thank my Omar.  He is such a wonderful father, and such a supportive husband.  Omi you are such a good life partner, I don’t know how I could make it without your help and constant support in my life.  You are such an undercover sweet heart and such a push over when it comes to the boys.  Our boys are so lucky to have you as a father watching over them and guiding them along the way.  Happy (early) Father’s day Baybeh!  (you just KNOW I will forget to blog on Father’s Day).

My stomach is turning--- BIG time

So I am guilty of being one of those Casey Anthony trail watchers.  I am even more embarrassed to say that I watch Nancy Grace on the days when I cannot watch the entire day of court footage.  This whole case makes me sick to my stomach.  I am not saying I know how she killed her daughter, or that it was on "purpose" but who goes a month without reporting their child missing???  Is it me?  Am I the crazy one here????  Listening to the testimony of all the witnesses and how she acted and the things they found in her car trunk.  OMG people!!!  I feel like punching Casey Anthony in the face every time I turn on the trail.  I hate to talk to trash, but seriously Jose Baez--- what a doof.  I am hoping his dumb antics do not give them basis for appeal.  Just the thought of all the details coming to light make me sick.  Seriously seriously seriously...I NEED to punch her in the face.

"It’s finally my birthday"

This year I feel like Omi was tortured more and more as his birthday inched closer.  He would get so excited whenever he encountered a Mc Queen trinket which he wanted to put his grubby little hands all over.  His eyes would shine at the idea of a birthday party to call all his own.  I guess this is the first year where he is really grasping the concept of all the fun that entails a birthday party!  Not to mention every time we went to a birthday party (before his arrived) he would ask me if his birthday was next.  Poor kid...I was concerned that he might combust if his birthday would not hurry and arrive!!! 

When I took him to the indoor party place to set a date (and pay) he got all giggly and elated!  He could not contain himself and when he saw his Papa he told him about how he had gone with Mama to where his birthday lives.  It was actually pretty hilarious watching him give his dad a play by play of all the fun stuff they had.  Than when we (all 4 of us) returned the week of his party to drop off a couple of party favors he screamed out "Papa!!! THIS IS WHERE MY BIRTHDAY LIVES!!!"  Needless to say he loved it!

His actual birthday this year landed on a Saturday so we took him to our annual Chuck E Cheese outing to celebrate!  Not that we only go to Chuck E Cheese’s once a year---- no no no, but it is our (real) birthday thing to do with the boys.  Most kids would be overjoyed with the Chuck E Cheese’s outing Omi was more concerned about what happened to the place where his birthday lived???  Why were we not going there if today was truly his birthday???  Omar explained that his party would be Sunday and tonight we were cutting a cake at C.E.C.  To which Omi replied "Oh...its too late right?  We can’t go to where my birthday lives because it is sleeping."  Omar and I agreed in unison and went on our merry way.  Aiden too enjoyed the evening...that little goblin is quite the terror.  We have many parent teacher conferences in our future- I can feel it.

So glad Omi managed to keep his fingers out of his nose!

And than the moment he was waiting for...the PARTY!!!!  This little boy was so excited to celebrate his birthday.  When we arrived at the party place he told Omar’s mom "Abuela! IT’S FINALLY MY BIRTHDAY!!" It was just so cute.  Every year since his first birthday party he has really enjoyed his parties.  I know most one year olds are usually clueless to what's going on- not Omi.  He was all up in the mix.  Last year was the petting zoo which he LOVED and still mentions.  That little one has a memory on him, definitely did not get that from me!  But yes, this year was no different.  He was excited about the theme, The Wonderful World of Cars, the location and just the whole party!  I personally loved it as well.  This year we decided to have his party at an indoor party location.  Basically all we had to do was show up with the kids.  So there was zero set up madness to deal with.  I of course, could not just let go of the reigns just like that though...since I had purchased the stuff for the centerpieces before I had chosen the venue I opted to create them myself as originally planned.  Another little thing I chose  to do was have a sand art station.  I stumbled upon the idea after seeing an activity set at dollar tree.  However I went with the more practical/ economical route.  I used empty baby food jars; and purchased white sand which I later dyed with food coloring at dollar tree.  And yes, Dollar Tree is my savior when it comes to the boys birthday party supplies and decorations.  Enjoy our pictures, I will spare you the 100+ and only share the most action packed!
