Ready for the May flowers

These past couple of days lots has been going on around here. So I must admit blogging has not been a top priority. The days here have been gloomy, it has rained almost every other day and for a while it was raining EVERY day. Talk about cabin fever! Omi gets pretty bored, and begins to parade ALL of his toys around the house. For the most part he has been extra good about putting them back in their place. But in the mean time it is an ELMO and Tonka Truck extravaganza!

Little Aiden pretty much does the same thing regardless of what the weather is like. I am absolutely astonished that the little guy is already flipping over. Although I will let you in on a little secret, he had done it a couple of times before. But he is much more consistent with turning over now. Only problem is that he is not a fan of being on his back, so when he turns over he has an absolute fit!

Due to the weather I have been able to get a few things done around the house here and there. I was able to contract someone to re-do our kitchen which I am SUPER psyched about! I am almost done with the kids room as well... all I need is to put up the curtain rod (which I am waiting to be delivered) and a couple of shelves. Once that portion of the house is complete I will definitely post some pictures. I am actually pretty excited about that as well. Once I am finished with the kids room I plan on moving onto our bedroom. We really do not have all that much to do, just finish the closet... and put up some shelves and wall art as well. And hopefully by one of these years our office will be complete... but I am slow stepping on that one. For now that room is pretty much the everything room. Whenever I don't want to see a box or mess in any part of the house it ALL ends up there. I do have everything I need to complete the office.. only thing missing is the time!

Our latest endeavor is the creation of the Falcon Baseball Club. After much debate about how to go about doing it... Omar opened up his baseball academy. I am so excited for him, it has been quite a while since I have seen him get that sparkle in his eye (yes his eyes sparkle with the kids... but its a different kind of sparkle- baseball wives I KNOW you understand what I am talking about). We are planning on doing quite a bit of traveling over this summer with the teams he has (two 14U, one 16U and a 17u). Over the weekend one of his 14u teams played in their first tournament and nabbed second place! I was so very proud of him, the kids had never played together. And for the most part they were playing in the tournament just to see how they would mesh and get them in rhythm of playing together to be ready for the upcoming summer season.

I have also been trying so0o0o hard to go to the gym. But with all the madness going on here daily it has been quite the task. Oh.. and I am still making a cake here and there every so often. Pretty hard to believe that amongst all the madness we manage to work in some time (a little bit) to sleep.

Our trip to the Children's Museum

Last Friday the boys and I went over the Children's Museum down by the beach. I met up with my cousin Ana and her two equally as disastrous duo Nicholas and Gabriel. The boys all had such a fun time with each other. I loved watching them interact. (- above is the master piece my little Omar created-)
It took us forever to get them out of the fishing area. Nico was too much, catching those little magnetic plastic fish like it was his job. Omi and Gabo on the other hand were much more excited with the water. To be honest, those pesky plastic fish seemed to just get in the way of the water.
Omi LOVED the art exhibit. He pasted together a pre-fabricated lady bug. It amazes me how much he does already. He is not even two years old and he is so observant and repeats everything he sees with such detail. We later moved onto the portion of the room where he could glue random papers on another sheet of paper. He LOVED the glue, I am pretty sure he took a taste or two. I don't know what it is about glue and kids... I guess the enjoy the taste of horse (eeeeuuuuwwwww)
FINALLY!!!! Some Mama and Omi pictures! These are so few and in between. Since I am the picture fanatic, I do most if not all of the picture taking. So of course, I have an overwhelming amount of pictures of Omi with Papa and everyone else under the sun. So it was nice to get a couple in with my big guy. I love that they are not posing pictures either.
And than... the fire station! These boys had such a wonderful time in that fire engine. I must admit, that the three of them did not allow any other kids to play with the engine until they were done driving. If you look in all the pictures there are different random children patiently waiting their turn only to realize our monsters were in cahoots! When Omi was done, Nico took over; when Nico was done gabo stepped in... and it went that way until they were just bored with the idea of driving.

All these pictures of little man and his cousins, where was Aiden some of you may be asking. Well here he was... tucked away into his carrier sound asleep through all the madness and chaos.

No Blue Cheese

Just a quick little rant about a funny little experience we had last night at IHOP. So usually on Sunday we do dinner at Omar's parents house and stay there until pretty late. However last night we didn't make it in time for dinner but stayed there pretty late anyways. So naturally on a Sunday night there really was nothing else open except IHOP. So we are there with kids in tow and in walks an oriental couple. They were talking (obviously not sure) Chinese relatively loud and little Omi started giggling. So naturally we could not help but be extra observant. Our food came and we were munching away... and than the waitress came over to take the order of the oriental couple. Sorry for being so stereotypical... just giving you a heads up. They are speaking English with a pretty think oriental accent so please forgive me for not being able to decode what they were ordering exactly. I can only assume that it was something with celery. And all of a sudden clear as day (it seemed to us) both Omar and I hear the man say "no bullshit". We both look up from our plates at each other with eyes wide open- almost simultaneously say "did you hear that?" Only to be interrupted by the waitress repeating, "gotcha, no BLUE CHEESE" We almost wet ourselves giggling. I did find it quite inappropriate that someone would say that after placing an order. But I guess I was trying not to be too judgy... HA HA HA HA And that's it, that is my blue cheese story.

Absolutely off topic.. I have found a new love/ obsession with Cantimpalo Chorizo. If it had begun 4 months ago I would have chalked it up to pregnancy cravings. Lol... but no, just since I am trying to stay away from fatty foods I find myself indulging in sandwiches and baked lays. I hope to loose weight soon... pray for me guys, giving up fast foods is really hard for me.

Hotel Fun

Check out the monster at his finest... no clue what possessed him to climb in- but he did. And boy was it a mission to get him out of here!
