Fourth of July H-O-T boys

Before I go off on a how cute are my boys rant... just wanted to make sure to document that this little guy Aiden Eric turned 5 months on July 2! He is growing up so fast. Already trying to crawl and really gaining ground actually, scooting all over! Here is the little guy fast asleep on the day he turned 5 months

DISCLAIMER!!!!! Terribly cute photographs below... don't say I did not warn you. My little guys on Fourth of July weekend in Coral Springs.

Little O showing off his "mumels" he wants to be just like his Papa

The shirt says it ALL... our little firecracker Aiden Eric.

Little O feel asleep on the way back to the hotel from dinner. We did not even get to set off the fireworks that we had purchased for him.

lol.... I opted to go with a patriotic look for the weekend. So not like me, I painted my nails blue as oppose to the more traditional red. Liani, I know you are beaming with happiness to know that these were totally inspired by you!

Excuse me- I do not have an accent!

It was brought to my attention a while back that I have an accent. Oddly enough I was totally taken back by the insinuation that I, an American born individual had a Spanish (what we down in the MIA call reffy) accent. I would say down right applaud- my mother has an accent... NOT me.
But as time went by and our travels continued... I learned that there were loads of accents all over the nation and began to feel quite comfortable with my little accent . It was much better than that wretched California accent... do not get me started on the Midwest accent and too many more to keep track. After it was brought to my attention, I found myself trying to kick my accent when I spoke certain words and picked up on when my accent was thickest just for kicks and giggles. I noticed that the more locations I lived in I began to loose my twang. And remember on more than one occasion when my mother would call me, she would comment "you sound so white when you talk now". It was funny how I did not have an accent until I left Miami... and as a consequence, I had now lost my twang for the most part. Than one fine day it happened--- I was watching MTV and my ear caught notice of an all too familiar accent. It was the Miami accent, which really is not Miami AT ALL... it is HIALEAH (sorry Hialeah-ans and Miami Lakes people who are in denial that they are from Hialeah... LMBO). It was as if someone had gotten a chalk board and gone at it with a box of nails.

For those of you who are not from Miami, let me try to explain this all too annoying accent to you. It is Spanglish (English and Spanish mixed) to the up most degree (without sounding mean) it is done how ever in a Cuban way, not Mexican. For those of you not from Miami it really is difficult to explain what I mean by that--- but please try to keep up (jk). Ok so English with a slight Spanish twang... now insert the word "like" into every 3 third one spoken and the wretched word "bro" used for emphasis. I can only imagine that those of you from my native little town of Miami, FL are likely hysterically laughing-- because you KNOW exactly what I am talking about too.

I was never big on the use of "bro" or "like" so I feel that I merritt the right to be judgy- ha ha ha. I guess before I had lived in other parts of the US I had never paid much mind to our uniquely annoying accent, but now I can point it out a mile away.

Alright bro so like I am going to like stop writing because I am like super like tired and like need to wake up like early- ;0)

Happy 100th! and more F-U-N!

So it is my 100th blog post. After all the parades and celebrating had cease I was able to sit down and type up a little of what we have been up to. I was going to sit here and type 100 reasons why I am cool- but I opted to not narrow it down to just 100- HA HA HA HA!

So the summer is now in full swing and Falcon Baseball Club is full till. Quite honestly, the entire baseball aspect does bore me so I will only post about the FUN stuff.
Quite the insane task I have decided to tackle, although we are on the road a bit Omar is ready to start his potty training. And by Omar I mean little Omar, from my understanding big Omar has been using the toilet on his own for at least 5 years (that is how long we have been together ...lol). The good thing is that my little guy is in love with his undies- he picked them out himself too! He chose some spiffy Spiderman and Batman undies. When he wears them he dances around the mirror... it is a total Risky Business moment, all he is missing is the guitar and buttoned down shirt! We have a long road ahead of potty training, but he is getting good at letting me know when it is time for peepee--- poop he lets me know once it has already happened. But we are getting there little by little.
Here is my little sack of smiles Aiden. He is growing so much these days- it is unreal. He will be 5 months old in about a week and is already wearing clothing for a 6-9 month old. BIG boy indeed!
While in Ft Myers we celebrated Father's Day. We did not do too much because there were two morning games. But Omar's parents and sister came up and spent the day with us and the kids. Surprisingly I was not my usual photog self only managed to capture two or three shots of the proud papa and his boys. Those three guys right there are my life... I could not picture a day without either of them--- ::so0o0o0o in love:: (crooked hat and all)
The boys had their first theater experience as well!!! Poor Aiden is clueless as to what was going on, he slept through the entire outing. I do not think he made it past a block away from the hotel. However little Omar quite the opposite. He was in absolute aw with the gigantic screen before his eyes. Before the movie even started he was squirming all over his seat and giggling- it was too dark for pictures. Plus I am sure the rest of the audience would not have appreciated me snapping flash photography while they were trying to enjoy the film. He loved the movie and loved that he was able to divulge in popcorn (cah-corn) the entire time. He ate so much popcorn that towards the end of the movie I offered him some and he turned to me and said "mama, no cah-corn belly" and rubbed his tummy. It was hilarious! Oh in case you were wondering I too loved the movie

The rest is just pictures of me and the boys... doing our thing. Nothing out of the ordinary :0)

Sorry I had to sneak in at least one baseball picture. Omar giving the boys an "I am proud of you guys" speech. They did well, actually they did spectacular--- they finished top 8 in the nation out of 58 teams!!! That is a pretty big deal.

So cute I want to scream!

My little Aiden is so vocal. He was really vocalizing a lot more than I was able to capture. I feel that I have not been able to post as many pictures as I did of little Omar at this age. It is definitely not due to lack of documentation. I snap so many pictures of the little guy--- his smile melts my heart every time.

As always, little Omar does not disappoint. He is a constant chatter box and repeats every thing his little ears hear. An absolute sponge that little darling has become. Here is just a smidget of his wittiness

Proud Baby Momma

The ghettoness should protrude from the title... ha ha ha ha. But its really nothing more than a title, sorry guys no further ghettoness from here on out. I just wanted to take the time to congratulate the hubby and three of his 14U players. We are currently in Fort Myers playing in a USA Baseball tournament.

::Allow me to give a bit more information regarding the tournament::

USA Baseball has two annual tournaments held on both the east and west coast. Although the teams participating are ultimately trying to win the tournament, it is truly not the sole goal of the participants. From these tournaments they select 20 players from all the participating teams (total of 40 both east and west coast). From those 40 players a team to represent the United States of America in the Junior Olympics is selected. With that said, not any team of the street can participate in the tournament. Your team(s) must be recommended and approved by USA baseball in order to play.

Such a once in a lifetime opportunity you would imagine that kids would be lined up to play. Instead folks, Omar had some players that he approached tell him that they would rather play with their little league teams in local tournaments. Not to mention that there were a couple of opposing team's coaches attempt to tarnish Omars name saying that he was just in it for the money and that this tournament would benefit any one except Omar (financially).

After all has been said and done... I very proud to announce that three of our boys received an invitation letter today to play for the USA team. It is such a huge accomplishment for the boys. Congratulations... Omar is VERY proud of your performances. He knows you all have the talent it takes to get the job done!

It has been so long- betcha you thought we disappeared!

I feel like it has been so long since I last had the opportunity to sit and write. It has not been due to lack of events, quite the opposite. I have been so all over the place. I feel like we have not had a moment to just stop and sit. No worries--- loads of pictures which documented all the fun and as always brief stories to accompany the pictures! Please be patient folks-- I JUST posted up the pictures (finally) and will be posting the stories behind them tomorrow evening (6/22).
