My favorite old people in the whole wide world are my grandparents. Of all the cousins, my brother and I are the only ones who still have both of their grand parents. It is nuts...I always find it hard to not to get teary eyed when talking about them. But in this post only happy thoughts!
My grandmother turned 80 back in September, and my grandfather turned 80 January 13. Instead of celebrating their days individually we choose to throw them both a big bash on the same day. It was pretty nuts and stressful to make happen with Christmas being the week before and Aiden and I’s birthday parties so close after. But it all came together beautifully.
Most importantly they loved it. I loved seeing them dancing all night just like they used to do in the old days. It was so delightful, definitely worth every minute that we put into making it happen.
Thank for everyone who attended and helped us celebrate their birthdays. Thank you for sharing the evening with us, it meant a lot to them.
Here are some of the lovely decor we put a lot of love into making. A special thank you for Mystical Memories by Maggie Sixto for all the lovely arrangements and linens. The catering was also fabulous!
I of course had the pleasure in making their cake

Family pictures :)
The only picture of Omar and I in the evening ... Aiden is being such a sneak and getting himself into our picture.
Omi had a mommy moment where he wanted nothing more than to be surgically attached to my hip. Needless to say it made for an interesting couple of minutes in the evening.
Birthday toast to the guests of honor!
My uncle and abuelo :)
And yes, I got to dance a song or two with my favorite viejo! Don’t be too jealous
